In 1936, at the age of 11, she married Dr. Marri Channa Reddy, a man who would later make a significant impact in Indian politics and social service. Throughout their 60 years of marriage, Savithri amma was a great source of courage and inspiration to Dr. Reddy, a constant pillar of support, managing the household and taking care of their farm while her husband pursued his political career.
